How it works

  1. Buy a license on Gumroad. The Gumroad e-mail gives you a license key and the download link of the program.
  2. Install the program on the office computer: unblock the ZIP, extract it, and double-click install-windows.cmd.
  3. Open it. At the first start it shows an Installation ID, for example GI-23D9-7074-7A40. Write it down.
  4. Make your license file below: type the license key and the Installation ID, then save the file.
  5. Load the file into the program. It checks the file on the computer, with no internet.

Your Gumroad library also keeps the download link and the license key.

Gumroad shows the price in your local currency, and can lower it for your country. A reseller in your region can also sell and install the license for you.

Make your license file

One license key gives one license file. Keep the file: you can load it again after you reinstall on the same computer.

Questions

Which computer do I need?

A Windows 10 or 11 computer (64-bit). It must be on when the other users work.

How do the other computers connect?

They open a browser on the same office network and type the address of the office computer, for example http://192.168.1.20:8765.

Can I bring my data from the old Golden Inventory desktop program?

Yes. The program imports your Invent.mdb: items, customers, vendors, locations, and the old documents and payments as history.

What happens when the license expires?

You get 30 more days. After that the program is read-only: you can see your data, run reports and export, but you cannot make new documents. Your data is never locked. A renewal opens it again.

What is not in the Local edition?

The AI features, the online store connections and the public API need the cloud, so they are off in the Local edition.

I have a new computer. How do I move the license?

Write to support@inventory-system.com with your license key and the new Installation ID. Your reseller can also do it for you.

Do you have a cloud version too?

Yes. The cloud version runs in any browser and has a free plan.
